Work-Dori Part II: Week on 2 Pages

Image
Last week, I briefly walked through  My Work-dori . Despite the midori is very FAT already, I feel I am missing a daily page to track my daily schedules.  I would like to see how I spent my day such as meetings, emails, mentoring and etc.  I tried DIYfish Day on one page, yet it is too much space for me as all I want is to track my hours.  I ended up didn't use the pack I purchased as I don't like to write my todos over and over and don't like to leave blank pages. Last week, I tried using the week on one page from the trial pack I purchased.  It works, yet I need a little more space to write and thought maybe week on two will work. Since I am still at the experimenting stage, I don't want to commit into another purchase.  I looked through DIYfish's inserts and decided to copy the layout and try it out first. It looks very nice until I start plug in the hours.... I don't have enough space for all the hours I want to put in there...:( I will gi

I am using my Midori traveler's notebook as my work notebook.  Never thought it will work for me as I have been using A5 for my work forever.  Yet, it is surprisingly work better then I expected.       I love the leather, it is very sturdy, firm and at the same time pliable.  The leather is pretty smooth and soft.  With three books in there, the notebook and stand alone by itself.      I purchased a 8.25x5.5 notebook from Michael's and cut down into Midori size.  The remaining become my to do list sheet attached on the cover with the binder clip.  It works so well for me as when I open the book up, the first thing comes to me is the TO DOs.         Book #1 is 2 year month on two calendar from Ray Blake ( www.mylifeallinoneplaces.com ) Book #2 and 3 are blank notebook, #2 is my daily and month goals, to dos and bullet journals.  #3 is my reference notebook for all the notes related to works that I need to remember or reference to.   I also have

Ever since I discovered Philofaxy website, it starts my planner journey.  I find myself the love of doing crafting and plan for my life.  As the work schedule occupied most of my time, I find the planner kind of help me to balance my work and life.  I tried few Filofax planners and none of them "connect" with me.  I ended up sell them all.  Around October, I came across Van Der Spek on Philofaxy website and fall in love the idea of design your own organizer!  Here is my journey of this very unique planner..... I got my inspiration from following youtube channels Sandrajohn27- Filofax Compact Regency Sandrajohn27- Filofax compact vs personal The Zeitgeist of Zoe - Van der Spek Custom Binder Blogs The Zeitgeist of Zoe-3/12/2014 post of Falling in Love All Over Again My Filo World- Review Filofax Regency compact in Brown Photo from The Zeitgeist of Zoe Blog This photo starts the idea of using the planner as my wallet :) The communication with VDS is great

Side Open Pocket for my Van Der Spek Wallet Binder

I am currently using my customized Van Der Spek compact size binder as my wallet.  Often of time, I find myself trying to rush the receipt in my binder/wallet.  Instead of putting into the full length pocket, I just leave the receipt at the very front of the binder, snap it close and leave the stores.  It really bothers me as I don't like to see pieces of paper here and there.  I tried to search online to see if there is side open pocket insert for my binder but cannot find any.  Yesterday I came across to Sea Lemon's Youtube Chanel on How to Add a Pocket to Your Book . I adopted the idea and made into the pocket for my binder :)  Before-Those are today's receipts.  Once I record the receipt into my expense tracker, I remove the receipt from my wallet and store at home.   After-Receipts need to be recorded are properly stored in this side open pocket. This is how it looks like after I completed the side open pocket.  I made this out of the catalog
